Role Overview:
As a Senior Accountant – R2R, you will ensure the accuracy and health of the company's balance sheet through thorough reviews, reconciliations, and compliance with IFRS/IAS and Al-Futtaim Group policies. You will also support month-end closing, audit processes, and intercompany account monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

1. General Ledger Reconciliations:

• Prepare and review GL schedules monthly.
• Provide actionable insights and work with stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/IAS and Al-Futtaim Group policies.

2. Monthly/Yearly Book Closing:

• Post accounting entries, provisions, and accruals.
• Validate and reclassify entries as per standard guidelines.
• Support financial preparation and provide data for consolidation using the BPC tool.
• Engage in inventory adjustments and stock provision entries.

3. Intercompany Accounts Monitoring:

• Review and reconcile related party accounts.
• Collaborate with business unit finance teams to resolve mismatches.

Qualifications and Skills:

Technical Skills:

• Thorough knowledge of accounting practices per IFRS/IAS.
• Understanding of financial statement preparation.
• Familiarity with taxation laws in GCC and SEA.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with SAP ERP systems.

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent.

Experience:

• Minimum 5-7 years in a similar role.
